This weekend has been pretty awesome :D
Saturday I got up and drove myself to the zoo where I met up with Aimee and Damo and we saw all the animals and I took about a million photos (but I left my camera at Leigh's today) which was good. Last time I went to the zoo I forgot my memory card so I couldn't take any photos :/
I saw the baby elephants, and I got to see the seals, and took some awesome photos of the butterflies and some meerkats. I also saw the tiger cubs which were pretty big for babies. One of them looked just like a really big version of Kovu. It even made all the same facial expressions (I wonder if they would be friends...). I had a really fabulous day and was very thankful to Aimee and Damo for not making me feel like a third wheel. They left a bit before I did, so I had a bit of a wander by myself to see the last few things that I had missed. I really loved just being outdoors in the amazing weather :D
Today I thought it was about 11am when it was actually only 9:20 so I stayed in bed a bit longer before getting up and packing my dogs and Leigh into my car and heading down to a beach in Mornington. There were about a dozen other dogs there but my girls behaved themselves pretty well. Honey didn't pick any fights and Fink didn't madly chase all the other dogs. We were there about an hour and a half and the sun was so warm and the water felt really nice on my feet. I absolutely am excited for the weather to get even warmer so I can actually go swimming (even though my dogs hate it when I swim because they don't like swimming and they stand at the shore crying). I took some photos there too, which means I have officially started my summer photo collection!
Hopefully this week will go pretty fast. I can't wait to finish work on Thursday and be able to celebrate my birthday with my favourite, and then go shopping before celebrating some more on Friday night. Then Saturday will be trivia night which I think is actually going to be pretty fun and Sunday I have a date :D Monday is another day off work and I think I will just be completely lazy that day!
So, things are going pretty well for me at the moment. I have lots of things I am excited about doing and summer is finally beginning and I am happy :)
